For years, I lived a worldly life and felt that I had accumulated many curses that had opened the doors of my soul to suffering and hardship. Searching for answers to my problems, I was advised by certain people to visit a woman who practiced witchcraft. She told me that someone had cast spells on me and that this was the reason I was experiencing so many difficulties. From time to time, I would return to her, believing that, through Jesus, she was freeing me from the spells influences that had supposedly been placed upon me by someone.
For 14 years, I remained trapped in a cycle of “up and down”, with a lot of questions in my head, doubts, manipulation, lies, and other claims she had spoken to me.
One day, I sought advice from an Orthodox priest. He told me not to visit women who practiced witchcraft because, in his view, they worked with demons. He advised me to attend liturgies regularly, fast and receive Holy Communion. I followed his advice and began living that way. Over time, however, I began noticing similarities between what I had seen when visiting the woman who practiced witchcraft and certain practices within Orthodoxy, such as bowing before icons, light a candle, celebrating saints. I began to believe that these practices had the same spiritual root, expressed in a different form.
One day, I bought a Bible and began reading it. As I studied Scripture, I felt that many things became clear to me. I decided to follow God’s Word. I stopped lighting candles, praying to saints and bowing before people. During the ten years I spent in Orthodoxy, God has given me revelation on many things about what was happening there. As a result, I became a “thorn in the eye” to many and faced judgment, but eyes it is written: “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
While following the church services led by Konstantin Kaysharov, I discovered that we have many similarities in the faith, through the biblical Christianity. By God’s grace and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I was led to the Chruch Good News, where I shared my life story.
Two days later, the church held a service focused on “Deliverance from Demons,” together with a healing service. I was among those who took part. On that service in the Church “Good News” my life changed dramatically. There were various healings, depending on the problems people had.
During the service, when I stood in front of Pastor Kaysharov he spoke biblical words concerning deliverance from curses, black magic influences and witchcraft and I suddenly felt a powerful sensation came over me. A bright light flashed before my eyes, and I fell onto a mattress, where I experienced what I understood as a spiritual battle between good and evil. I felt that I had finally been released and freed from the evil that had troubled me for years.
From that moment, I began to notice positive changes in my life. As I had forgotten what it felt like to live without fear, worry, pain, and suffering. At first, it was even strange to me that I finally feel good. Today, I regularly attend this Church where, by God’s grace I found peace. I am grateful and happy to be part of this Church, led by Konstantin and Milena Kaysharov.
