For me, it was incomprehensible how demons were the ones causing diseases. Although there were Biblical explanations from Bishop Konstantin Kaysharov online, I still had no insight until I attended a healing service at the Church where he serves. There was a woman with rheumatoid arthritis standing next to me, and we were both waiting to approach Konstantin for him to pray for us. I noticed that her fingers were crooked, there was redness, and she shared with me that they hurt. When she stood for prayer, suddenly I heard Konstantin commanding in the name of Lord Jesus Christ for the arthritis demon to leave the woman; she did not react dramatically, shed a few tears, then began to breathe excitedly, and they handed her a tissue into which she spat. Then Konstantin commanded a few more times for the demon of pain, swelling, and rejection to leave her; the woman shook her hands, and that was it. I watched everything unfold before me and saw as she wiped her face from the tears, her fingers were straightened, and they were no longer red. She noticed the same and loudly declared that there was no pain. The excitement was immense; everyone was shouting Hallelujah, I stood and watched, and I was filled with awe, it was incredible. Later, I thought that some of Konstantin’s people would ask her for money, but they were very kind to her and gave her a book for free, encouraged her, and recommended water baptism. Everything was free, everything was biblical, everything was clear and revealed. I felt blissful and returned to the prayer line.
In front of me stood a mother with a child around 10 years old. I asked her what was wrong with the child, as there was no sparkle in the eyes, no joy. She looked at me sadly and shared that the child had epilepsy and that the seizures were very frequent. She had heard that many people had been freed from such a demon through the ministry of Konstantin Kaysharov and decided to come. While I was contemplating that not everything in life is logical and that there are problems which medicine does not see as spiritual, I heard a verse from Konstantin’s mouth that I later found in the Holy Scripture:
Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ. – Luke 4:40-41
It was clear that the illnesses were caused by demons; Jesus healed the people by laying His hands upon them, and they departed from the afflicted. My dilemmas about the origin of diseases were clarified, as well as the fact that Jesus can heal us. The child with epilepsy was in his mother’s arms, Konstantin placed his hands on him as if to caress him. The child first cried, then Konstantin drove out the demon of epilepsy, and the child calmed down. The mother was simply in tears. Then the child smiled, his eyes sparkled with joy, and the mother was immensely grateful. I am certain that the child was healed.
When my turn came, Konstantin seemed to know, commanding in the name of Lord Jesus Christ for the demon of Lilith to depart. I didn’t know what it was, but in my stomach, I felt a cramp and pain. As he commanded, something within me began to unravel, and I started to cough, they handed me a tissue, and I coughed up and spat out phlegm. Then, once again, Konstantin commanded that everything causing infertility should leave, and tears began to flow, accompanied by a flood of mental images and memories of everything I had endured on my journey to becoming a fertile woman and mother. It was as if I was experiencing a release from the traumas that had been stored in my memory. Then I began to sway, as if I were rocking; Konstantin blew into me, and I felt a force that made me start to fall, but the people who were helping caught me. After that, I was different; I felt a lightness, then a bliss washed over me. I experienced healing of my inner wounds, and my stomach was warm but empty; I was no longer bloated.
Three months passed from that moment when I heard that I was pregnant. After 10 years of struggle, therapy, and depression, I finally stopped being barren. I know it is from God, but it happened in the Church where Konstantin serves, not in standard churches, not in courses with religious teachings and under the suggestions of a clergyman. I was like a participant in the film Jesus of Nazareth when a woman was healed. So simple, powerful, transformative. My perception of what the Church truly is and what faith in God means changed. Clearly, this model of service under Pastor Konstantin was contrary to other religious systems, and so I regularly heard negative comments and slanders about him. They neither asked me for money nor charged me; I didn’t go to his office, only to the Church where the service is centered on the Bible, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
I didn’t become dependent on Konstantin, I wasn’t manipulated, I didn’t transfer houses and apartments to him. I became more normal than I’ve ever known, and I see life differently. My husband occasionally tells me to watch Konstantin on the internet or going to his services, especially when I’m feeling anxious, because it calms my soul and I become more composed, more real, humble, and better for myself and others. It must be said, many people have experienced this; some are afraid to share because they fear being labeled as having changed their faith and become Protestants. I have no problem with that; what matters to me is to glorify God, and this testimony is about how God acts even today, certainly through Konstantin, who is considered an enemy, yet is such a great blessing for us.
